We are pleased to announce that Cantab IP’s principal, Dr Chong-Yee Khoo, has been recognised as a Patent Star for Singapore in the 2026 edition of Managing IP’s IP STARS.

This is the second consecutive year in which Chong-Yee has received the Patent Star designation.

IP STARS is an international guide to intellectual property firms and practitioners. Its rankings are based on independent research, including information submitted by firms, publicly available information and feedback from clients and other practitioners. According to IP STARS, its practitioner rankings as highly selective and it does not rank every practitioner who takes part in its research.

A Patent Star is an experienced senior IP practitioner who has been recommended by peers or clients, or who is considered integral to the success of their firm. We are therefore particularly pleased that Chong-Yee’s work has received this recognition.

Recognition for Cantab IP

Cantab IP has also been listed among the Other Notable Firms for patent prosecution in Singapore in the 2026 rankings.

As a small independent Singapore patent and trade mark attorney firm, we do not have the size, marketing resources or international office network of many larger firms in the rankings. Our practice instead depends on the quality of our work, close involvement by senior attorneys and long-term relationships with clients.

This recognition reflects the confidence placed in us by the clients and professional colleagues with whom we work. We are grateful to everyone who provided feedback to the IP STARS research team and to those who continue to entrust us with their IP work.

We will continue to provide careful, commercially practical patent advice, with our particular focus in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences and other technically complex fields.
