Attending the FICPI World Congress 2025 in Naples

I am very pleased to be attending the FICPI World Congress 2025, which will take place from 12 to 17 October 2025 at the Royal Continental Hotel Napoli, overlooking the Bay of Naples (ficpi.org/ficpi2025). This will be my first time attending the Congress and I am looking forward to the experience (see more on our blog).

One of the themes that particularly appeals to me is the focus on managing a patent firm and attorney practice. Even though I have been running Cantab IP for close to 18 years, I am sure I will come away with new insights. There is always something new to learn in the patent attorney profession - one of the most rewarding aspects of working in this field.

It will also be a pleasure to visit Naples agaub. My last visit was in December 2019, just before the pandemic, and I only had a brief opportunity to see the city. This time, I am keen to enjoy more of its unique energy — the chaotic but charming atmosphere, and, of course, its remarkable food culture.

The FICPI World Congress always draws a global audience of IP professionals, and I am excited to engage in discussions about the future of practice, to meet colleagues from around the world and to strengthen connections within the profession.
